In case you’ve been wondering, now is the perfect time to start a blog!
I wrote a blog post last year that’s super comprehensive in how to start a blog from scratch, and you can check that out right here.
For this post, I’m going to keep it short and just talk about a few reasons why now is the perfect time for you to take that leap of faith and dive into the blogosphere head first.
P.S. For my fellow bloggers, if you could be so kind, please leave your favorite tip for new bloggers in the comments. I think it would be super helpful to anyone who is just in the beginning of their blogging journey!
Blogging Brings a Lot of Joy
Whether you want to start a blog as a side-hustle or would love for it to be a full time career someday, blogging brings a lot of joy into your life!
I have met so many amazing women throughout my blogging journey. The community was so welcoming, and continues to provide a great support system to me today.
Receiving comments from my audience is always a highlight for me. I truly appreciate each and every one of them, and it makes the hard work so worthwhile. As long as my content is touching others, then this is exactly what I want to be doing.
Without even thinking about it, I always find myself smiling when others reach out to me through my blog. Blogging makes my heart happy and I have no doubt that it will do the same for you!
You’ll See Results Sooner
The sooner you get started on your blogging journey, the sooner you will see results!
With that being said, blogging is a long-term game. You won’t see overnight results or suddenly have a massive flow of traffic or subscribers. However, if you start the process now and put your heart and soul into creating content, you’re certainly going to gain some traction quicker than if you continue putting it off.
It’s only March, my friend, and you have a ton of time to get your blog launched and share it with others. Think about all of the amazing things that can happen between today and next March!
Your Future Audience Needs Your Content
Believe it or not, someone out there needs your special magic! No matter the niche you plan on going into, people are truly interested in what you have to say and offer to them.
We tend to get caught up in comparing ourselves to others and think that because someone is already talking about things that we may want to write about, there’s no need for us to be in that space.
That thought is incredibly wrong! The truth is, there is room for all of us and we can support one another. Focus on creating content that is valuable to your audience and I promise that you will find your tribe.
That’s a wrap on this post, my friend. I hope it has helped boost you to see that now is the perfect time to get started on your blogging journey.

Thank you so much, Kathrine! I truly hope so. ❤️ I completely agree with you, it is a great experience that requires learning but allows us to grow and bloom and share our special magic with others.
I love this! I actually started a blog back in 2012 but wasn’t consistent with it. And I really wish that I would’ve been! I wish that I took it more seriously but everything is a learning process! I started back up in 2016 and have been blogging ever since. It’s been so nice connecting with other bloggers and being able to create on a daily basis!

You are so right Tracy, everything is truly a learning process! I’m so happy you came back to the blogosphere and are doing well. I’m sure it helped having some prior experience with it, and knowing that if you stay consistent, big things happen! 🙂 I love connecting with other bloggers as well!
Such an encouraging post for people thinking of starting a blog! I completely agree about it taking time to gain traction. My advice to anyone wanting to start a blog is to be patient, don’t compare yourself to others and make sure you are doing it for the right reasons and are passionate about what you want to write about. People often believe blogging is easy money or passive income, and that’s not the case. The connections you make are such a bonus and make me so happy too!
Martha
Aww, thank you so much, Martha! I absolutely love your advice here, it is so thoughtful and I completely agree with you. It truly takes a lot of dedication, but is totally worth it if it’s something you enjoy. I love the connections as well. I’m so happy our paths crossed! 🙂
These are such great tips Ashley!

Thanks so much, Jennifer!
I always people to just start. You’ll never until you start blogging. But I always tell them to do it with passion & joy and not for compensation.

Completely agree with you, Rach! I love that advice, it is so helpful and true.
These are all great reasons to start a blog! For me, the best thing about blogging is the wonderful community of women I’ve met on my journey.
And my tip is to write about things that you are genuinely passionate about!
Julia x

Love that, Julia! I can definitely relate with the connections with wonderful ladies, it is truly a blessing! 🙂
I totally agree- and I feel like blogs are going to become increasingly popular again as people tire of Instagram and are looking for more authentic ways to connect. 🙂

Le Stylo Rouge
Yes, Ashley! I truly agree with that. Social media can be such a toxic environment and I think many people are just looking for more. More of a connection, more of seeing what people are truly about, and more value than what they may be able to get through an IG post.
I totally agree with. I love blogging so much !
I think theses are good motivations for not only new bloggers.

I’m so happy that you love blogging, too, Margot! 🙂 Thanks so much for your kind words.
Blogging is a lot of work, but it is rewarding, too!! I started mine back in 2008 after the birth of my daughter and it has changed over the years.
Carrie

Completely agree, Carrie! That’s amazing!! You have such a wonderful blog that I really enjoy visiting. I bet it has changed a ton. It seems like technology is continually advancing or shifting.
Great tips! Definitely is imporant to do it for passion and not an overnight success so story. But it is so worth it when done for the right reasons.

Thank you, Angelica! Yes, I completely agree with you – it’s important to start for the right reasons. Money and recognition is always encouraging and helpful, but I believe those things will come to you when you stay dedicated and continue to work hard.
A think a lot of people are reluctant to start a blog because they think it’s too saturated, but if you’re passionate about something then there is always room for you to succeed in it!
Chloe X https://www.chloepryce.com/
That’s a very good point, Chloe. I think that has a lot to do with it as well. People think because someone may be blogging about something similar to them that there isn’t space for them. There is ALWAYS room for you and your beautiful ideas, especially because no one else can bring it the same exact way that you can. 🙂
Such a great post! Starting my blog was the best decision I ever made, it brings me so much joy!
Molly xx

Thank you so much, Molly! Aww, I’m so happy to hear that, and I can completely relate!
These are all great points! So many people get caught up in competing but there’s really no such thing, there’s room for everyone in any industry

I completely agree with you and every of reasons that you wrote. Writing posts and taking photos bring me so much joy as well as communication with other bloggers.

Thanks so much, Mica! That is wonderful! I always enjoy visiting your blog, you always have such beautiful outfits and purses. Those kimonos always have me swooning, haha!
Yes, I completely agree! It also helps others that are interested in that same thing see that you’re truly passionate about it, and they’ll want to visit more often.
I hope you’re having a fantastic start to your week, friend! 🙂
Very interesting topic. I needed to read this. Blogging is definitely a labor of love 🙂

Aww, I’m happy to hear that Maria! 🙂 It truly is. A ton of hard work goes into it and it takes awhile to really gain some traction, but it always feels worth it.
These are points are so true! If you want to do something, then make the leap – you (and other people!) will be happy that you did it sooner rather than later. I also love the photo that you used as the header image for this post. <3

That’s wonderful, friend! Thank you so much! 🙂
I totally agree on those three reasons, Ashley! And although it takes lot of time, I think it’s a very nice way to communicate and it’s something YOURS: on social channels you are not the owner of the platform…
have a lovely evening!

Eli | Curly Style
That’s such a great point, Eli! Your blog is all yours and no one can take it away from you!
Hope you’re having a wonderful start to your week! 🙂
I know a lot of people think it is too late to start a blog but it depends on why you are doing it. To get rich and famous maybe so, but for a fun rewarding hobby, it is never too late. Great advice here.
Allie of
http://www.allienyc.com
Thank you so much, Allie! I can definitely understand that. I think too often people think it’s a quick way to make money, but while you can make a lot of money and even have the potential for becoming a household name, it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to make it happen.
What a great post! Starting a blog is always the hardest part. I remember I wanted to start a blog for years before I finally had the courage to do it. I always wish I had started sooner!
Jill
https://jilliancecilia.com/
Thank you so much, Jill! Yes, I feel the exact same! I wish I had started sooner, but nonetheless, I’m so happy we both started when we did! 🙂
I totally agree! Blogging is fun! It is exciting to have a creative outlet and to connect with people and build your own little community.

I’m so happy you’ve found blogging helpful, and I completely agree with you on gaining connections with others and sharing our passions!
I love seeing more and more blogs appearing on the network! I’ve been blogging for almost nine years now and I’m still as passionate about it as I was when I started, and I hope to get to meet more and more creative people willing to share their content and ideas. <3

Have a great day ❤
You too, Kinga! 🙂
What a sweet post! I haven´t been blogging much in the last months, cause my main focus is on my current manuscript, but I still love blogging so much! 🙂
It can really bring you lots of joy and connect you with so many nice people! I´m so glad I found some real friends over blogging over the last years
have a great day,
Tiziana

Aww, thank you! That’s completely understandable. You are going to rock that manuscript, friend! 🙂
Love your reasoning here! There “here and now” is always the best time ever to kick off plans. Also I loved how people said that blogging is a dying art – it turns out: it is not! My blog has brought me so much joy and it was a real journey over all these years.
lots of love, Miri

Thank you so much, Miri! That is very true, it turned out a lot of people were very wrong on that note (thankfully!).
Love your thoughts! Thanks for the motivation!
Aww, thank you so much, Mariann! Thank you for your kind words!
