It’s time for another Let’s Look! link up with Shay and Erika this morning!
I really love this prompt because immediately made me think of my early mornings. So many of you were surprised when I shared I wake up at 3 am with my hubby!
For now, it’s just us and our two cats, so I’m able to soak up these early mornings with things that help fill my cup for the day. First thing is first, you know I’ll be filling a physical cup with my coffee and creamer, haha!
Having a few hours before the day gets started and things out of my control can pop in is so valuable. It truly makes a difference for me and I’m excited to share a little slice of my quiet time with you on this beautiful Wednesday!
If you want to catch up on the past couple of Let’s Look! posts, you can find them below:
Early Morning Quiet Time
I have always been a morning person, though I’ll admit not always a 3 AM type of early person! I get up with Kyle before he goes to work and make sure his lunch is ready to go, and take care of Draino and Pepper. They love their coffee (a.k.a. whipped cream) first thing!
After all of that, I get to enjoy my own coffee and curl up in my chair. I stay in my pajamas and cozy robe and Peppy always comes to lay with me on my lap and takes a nap during my quiet time, haha!
Gratitude
I try to start my day with gratitude and I certainly fail at this sometimes. It can be easy to take so much for granted, starting with the fact that I woke up this morning and I am able to type this blog post to share with you! Some people aren’t that fortunate, and I am truly thankful for this life that God has blessed me with. I want to get better with a designated prayer time in the mornings, but for now my quiet time is sprinkled with prayers for loved ones, situations in need, etc.
Something Inspiring
I usually turn on the TV and flip it over to YouTube while I’m curled up in my chair. Whether it’s planner videos that inspire me with new ways to do all the things, listening to podcasts, or instead reading a chapter or two of a book (I’m so out of my reading habits lately though, I’ll take any recommendations to get me back into it!). I also scroll through socials, check emails, catch up on some of the true crime cases I’m following, and things like that. Those parts aren’t necessarily inspiring, but they are part of my normal daily quiet time. 🙂
Plan My Day
This is the perfect time for me to flip through my planners (yes, plural, haha!) and see what my day holds. There is something so calming about taking the time to look through what I want to accomplish, or what absolutely has to get done today, before I actually have to get started. My mind is most clear during my early mornings before it gets cluttered with things that pop up during the day. Of course, there are days that literally every single planned-piece changes and that’s okay too!
That’s a wrap on my daily quiet time, sweet friends! I hope you enjoyed this post and would love to hear your thoughts in the comments, as well as if you’re linking up today as well!
Oh, and if you haven’t linked up before and would like to see the future prompts, you can peep those below and they take place on the second Wednesday of each month!
Have a fantastic rest of your day!

This is a fun link-up! I like to have a lay-in when I’ve not got anything urgent to do. Always nice to wake up to my cat on my bed 🙂 x
Make Life Marvelous says
Aww, I love that Caroline, and I agree with you on the cat note too! Pepper loves to come lay in bed and she tries to get my attention when she can’t get under the covers by herself, haha! So happy you enjoyed this link up and thanks so much for stopping by! 🙂
My morning quiet time is so important. After I workout, I do several NYT puzzles and then catch up on my blog reading before I go to work. So fun getting a peak into your morning!
Jill – Doused in Pink
That sounds so relaxing and productive too for your mind with the puzzles and definitely helps keep you on track with your blog reading too!! 🙂 Thanks so much, Jill, I appreciate you!
I always have goals to get up early, but I need to start by getting to bed at a reasonable time! I am always trying to get one last thing done before bed. It’s a bad habit!
That is definitely understandable Laura, it’s hard when you have lots to juggle and want to keep up on all the things! 🙂
Since I workout in the morning, I usually do my quiet time after I get back home after I get Aut to school. It does help set me up for the day. I love that you start yours with coffee and whip for your sweet cats. 🙂

That sounds so perfect, Carrie! You always inspire me with your workouts and I hope to get as consistent as you one day on that note!! 🙂
Yes I was surprised you get us so early with your husband this is very thoughtful of you. And you make very good use of your morning quiet time. On the weekends I watch YT to get inspired. I find lots of interesting videos. Thanks for sharing this and our thoughtful comment on my blog.

Aww, it’s truly the least I can do, he takes great care of me! 🙂 Oh I love that, YouTube has such fun, inspiring content now and I always enjoy watching your videos!
It’s refreshing to see how intentional you are about starting your day with quiet time and mindfulness, even in the early hours. Your routine seems like a wonderful balance of self-care, gratitude, and productivity. It’s inspiring to hear how you prioritize gratitude, prayer, and seeking inspiration in your morning routine. And your approach to planning your day ahead is both practical and calming. It’s a reminder of the importance of carving out time for ourselves, especially at the beginning of the day, to set the tone for what’s to come.
Aww, thank you Melody, that is incredibly kind of you! I do my very best to keep my morning routine in-tact, it really does help make the rest of the day go more smoothly.
I enjoy morning quiet time as well.

So happy you loved this one Melissa, that makes me so happy! Thanks for your sweet comment and stopping by! 🙂
I love your quiet time routine! My mornings are sacred as well. I usually read devotionals online, scroll through emails, and then do a little art journaling. Thanks for the reminder of being grateful that we can have this time.

Aww, thank you so much Kathrine! That sounds like a wonderful way to start your day and so calming and therapeutic too!
I do love that you wake up with your husband every morning even though it means waking up at 3 AM! But you’re so right – it gives you so much time to take it slow and spend time getting organized and getting your mind in a good space before you start your day! I wish so badly that I was a morning person! I’ve always been a night owl, but having our two kiddos doesn’t allow for that very much. Haha.
Haha, yes, it’s an early wakeup call for sure! There’s nothing wrong with not being a morning person at all, I think we are all wired differently and thrive in our time! 🙂 I’m sure it does make it hard for you with your sweet kiddos and their schedules, haha!
In the mornings I feel more energetic and it is where I take the opportunity to organize my activities throughout the day, I also start my day with a cup of coffee. Kisses
Oh I love that Rebeca, I am the very same way on feeling more energized early in the day. I have a hard time late afternoon/evening getting thing done! Coffee is always a fantastic way to start the day! 🙂
I love your daily quiet time routine. I try to have quiet time in my day too, but I struggle to have a regular time when I have some calm! I probably need to get up earlier!

I feel for you Julia, I know it can be so hard to find that quiet time when you have a lot to juggle! Thanks so much for stopping by! 🙂
I treasure my daily quiet time the most. It’s when I plan my day and just take a breather, basically. x
