Tell me a person who doesn’t love getting flowers!
Okay, I’m sure there’s a few out there who don’t care much for fresh flowers, but they are just such a mood booster. Every single time I’ve received flowers, no matter what the occasion was, it brightened my day.
With summer on the horizon, all those beautiful flowers are blooming! As I was thinking of ways to make someone’s day and a post for that, I thought it would be neat to put together some simple but beautiful ways to dress up gifts for flower lovers out there!
I am excited to share these fun ideas to put a smile on a special someone’s face with you today, and I can’t wait to hear what you think!
Add Their Favorite Coffee
This is my absolute favorite pairing with flowers, and that likely comes as a surprise to no one here! I adore my takeout coffees, and how fun to add someone’s favorite latte with a beautiful vase full of gorgeous flowers! Another idea if you weren’t going to see someone right away, you could get a bag of really good coffee beans (remember to grab the ground version if they don’t have a grinder at home!).
A Keepsake Vase
Speaking of vase, a fun way to dress up your gift of flowers is a decorative keepsake vase! I know technically all vases could be considered keepsakes, but there are some really pretty ones that will be stunning to display long after those flowers fade way. I’ve used some of mine for home decor and just placed those pretty marble pebbles inside, or even water with fresh lemons and added fresh flowers I’ve picked up while grocery shopping.
A Good Book
Flowers and a book make the perfect match, a fantastic way to dress up gifts for flower lovers! Depending on the type of books your person loves, you could pick up a romance, thriller or even just a popular book that most people seem to love!
A Movie/TV Show DVD
If the person you’re treating to a special surprise is a big fan of tv shows or movies, then this would be a great idea to combine with fresh flowers! I would absolutely love to receive pretty flowers and a season of The Golden Girls, my favorite tv show ever!
A Thoughtful Card
When it comes to gift-giving, a thoughtful card goes a very long way! It’s not about the price tag on the back (in fact, you can find some beautiful ones at the Dollar Tree!), but the words written inside. Something I like to do that I picked up from my best friend’s mom is underlining or circling some of the words to add emphasis, and I like to include just a little handwritten note inside also! It doesn’t have to be much, but really personalizes it!
A Gift Card
Gifts cards are always a fun, easy idea to pair with flowers! I like those pretty little boxes you can pick up, usually around Christmas (you can get them without the holiday decor), that you can place the gift card inside. Restaurant cards are probably my go-to choice (Chick-Fil-A cards are always a fave!), but if your person loves shopping, that’s a fantastic idea also. Hello, TJ Maxx for me!!
A Stuffed Animal
This won’t necessarily be the best option for everyone, but stuffed animals provide comfort and can be really therapeutic even for adults. They’re also super cute to look at on a shelf!
Baked Goods
A little sweet treat is always a great gift on its own, so it would definitely be a wonderful addition to fresh flowers! I’ve paired flowers with no-bake cookies, cream horns, donuts, brownies, or even a homemade treat like my chocolate mayo cake!
Bath & Body Goodies
A small bag of skincare or bath and body goodies goes so well with flowers! You could do a little collection of hand sanitizer, lotion, travel size body wash, a moisturizer, etc.
That’s a wrap on how to dress up gifts for flower lovers, sweet friends! I hope you enjoyed this fun little floral post and that it gives you some new ideas for making someone’s day!
