A brand-new year calls for new (and some repeat) goals!
I am once again amazed that we are in January right now. Time sure flies by quickly, friends.
Putting together a list of goals is always on my list of to-do’s for a new year and I love sharing some of them here with you! I also like to take a bit of time to reflect on my past year’s goals and see how they turned out. I got done a lot of things I posted this time last year, but I also stumbled over some of those and they’ve been repeated below.
This serves as a great reminder not to beat yourself up over things that you didn’t get to, for whatever reason that may be, and to instead put your efforts into making it happen this time around!
Here are some of my goals for 2023:
Personal Goals
- Create a full-time income from what I’m truly passionate about
- Continue 3x per week on the treadmill, introduce new exercise 2x per week
- Schedule time dedicated to making my goals successful
- Read 23 books this year
- Make my health a priority (mental + physical)
- Track all purchases and evaluate each month to spend more wisely
- Eat more food at home versus fast food throughout the week
House Goals
- Backyard cleanup (tree stump removal, get rid of old porch railing and swing set)
- Rebuild firepit in the backyard
- Find a pretty wreath for our front-door that isn’t holiday-related
- Deep clean garage before spring and install shelving we bought last year
- Fine-tune a cleaning routine that works better for me
- Declutter spare closet again (I did this last year, but still WAY too much stuff in there!)
- Makeover my office space
Blog Goals
- Continue to grow this community with more blog traffic and in social networks
- Restart my email list for bi-monthly emails (trying this versus weekly since I’ve struggled)
- Send emails specifically for new blog posts because I had a lot requests for this last year
- Consistently plan and stay ahead on blog and social posts (preferably 2-4 weeks ahead)
- Share more blog content via Instagram stories and Facebook posts
- Gain more collaborations with brands that I love and think you would love, too!
- Start sharing planner posts/videos each month
That’s a wrap on my goals for 2023, friends! I hope some of these might inspire you with your very own goal-setting. I would love to hear some of your goals for this year!
I am over here rooting for you – always!
P.S. Be on the lookout for my post revealing my word for this year! Do you pick a word of the year?

Wow! What an amazing goal list! I have a couple goals, but honestly, not too many. 😊
Aww, thank you friend! There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, and you can always add to them if you want to as the year goes on. Plus, you’re going to have such an amazing, exciting year! 😉
You have some great goals! I only read 5 books in 2022, which is odd… I usually read 20+ books. I am not sure what happened?! I would like to find a wreath for my front door that would work for all seasons too… You did great with your treadmill goal last year! Sending out emails for my weekly blog posts was a 2022 goal for me and altho it is a little more work, it is worth it! I wish you the best of luck on all of your goals. I need to start working on some for myself.

Thank you tons, friend! You had a super busy year, so it’s more than understandable! I appreciate your help with my treadmill goals, I couldn’t have done it without you and honestly, likely wouldn’t have started running if it wasn’t for you! 🙂
You have defined and listed here some great goals and 23 books WOW! It is good to be this organized. I need to do this. Make a defined list of things I want to accomplish. And thank you so much for your kind words on my blog : )

Aww, thank you Allie! I’m hoping I can meet those 23 books, it is a lot for me even though I love to read. I just go through phases where I want to read a bunch and other times, I have to make myself open a book, haha. You are more than welcome my dear friend, I always enjoy your content and look forward to your posts! 🙂
These are all amazing goals! I really like how you broke them up into areas to focus. Good luck with accomplishing them all in 2023!
Thank you, Laura! 🙂 It really helps me to keep it all organized and break things up a bit. I hope your new year is off to an amazing start!
It’s great you have so many goals for the year ahead! I have the same ones as usual, spend less on fashion, and buy more second hand 🙂 I’m really hoping to get to a place where I don’t need to add much to my wardrobe and I feel every year I get a bit closer to that! I just can’t say no to a bargain sometimes though, haha!
Hope you are having a good start to the new year 🙂
Thank you so much, my dear friend! I love your goals, I just came from visiting your blog post about those! 🙂 You do so wonderfully with adding pieces to your closet that you truly get a lot of use out of, and I love that! 🙂
Aww thank you, it’s off to a wonderful start so far and I hope the very same for yours! 🙂
I hope you achieve all of your goals Ashley!

These are all such lovely goals to have! Goodluck with them.
Thank you tons, Candice! I truly appreciate it! 🙂
This is a wonderful list my friend! I applaud you for putting out there. It’s a great way to stay accountable. You must be a voracious reader to be with putting 23 books on that list. Awesome!

Aww, thank you SO much my dear friend! I am really hoping I can keep up with that reading goal, haha. I love to read, but do go through different phases, so I’m going to try to keep it on a schedule. 🙂
You have so many great goals, Ashley, and I love how you broke them down into categories.
Good Luck with accomplishing them all and Happy 2023 🙂
I’m still working on my goals list, but health (mental and physical) is my priority this year.
