It’s the first Friday of August, friends! I’m not sure where the year has went, time seems to go by so quickly these days. The good news is that we still have plenty of time to start on our goals, and achieve big things this year! I read an inspiring post yesterday, and I’m sharing it below with you for my Friday favorites!
1. “11 Steps For How To Start A Blog (And Make Money) In 2019” from Moms Make Cents!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this amazing post! Prior to starting my blog, I did 6+ months of research. I read a ton of blog posts and while many were helpful, they didn’t go into much depth other than how to get hosting, which hosting the blogger preferred, and some touched on choosing a basic WordPress theme.
McKinzie goes above and beyond for this post! It’s the most in-depth “How to Start a Blog” post you’ll find currently, in my opinion. If you’ve ever thought about starting a blog or just want to know how to grow it once you’ve launched (like myself!), then please check out her post and show it lots of love. I have no doubt that you’ll find is super helpful!
2. A Fresh Start!
I love a fresh start to a new month! It just feels like the perfect reset, if you’ve been struggling to achieve your goals. Sometimes it is just lacking the motivation needed to do the hard stuff to make your goals into a reality.
If you’re looking for a positive post, please check out this Instagram post from The Backwards Life! Sarah is such an inspiration and I always enjoy her posts each day!
3. Eating Healthier
My husband and I started a diet last Sunday and we have been doing great so far. Grabbing fast food has been super tempting. It’s a hard habit to break for me. However, I’ve been feeling a lot better this week after cooking at home and eating fresh fruits and veggies for snacks (swapping out potato chips and buttery popcorn for those!).
4. Saving Money!
By not eating fast food, we are saving a lot more money than normal. I’m looking forward to seeing these savings over a longer period of time – every little bit helps!
5. Pool Days
One of the best parts of summer is spending time in the pool! I love the water and have been trying to take time to do things that bring me happiness. So I see lots of pool days in my future! 🙂
