Good morning, friends! I hope your Friday is off to a fantastic start!
The first Friday of November. I can’t believe how close the holidays are now. I just got my free red cup from Starbucks yesterday morning and they are in full swing holiday-drink mode.
It made me realize that whether I’m ready for this time of year or not, it’s here! While it’s such a magical, special time, it’s just hard to believe how close we are to another year!
I’ve been working hard on a blog post that’s going to walk you through how to make 2020 your best year yet. Not a fluff piece, a very thorough, detailed blog post. I’m very excited about it, and truly hope that you will enjoy it! Let me know what you’d like to see in that post, or anything else that you’d really like to see here on the blog!
1. Free Reusable Cup from Starbucks
Did you get your free cup yesterday? I got up extra early to be sure I could get to my Starbucks as soon as possible. Last year, they ran out by the time I made it there in the afternoon. It’s such a cute cup!
My first holiday drink of the season was a Toasted White Chocolate Mocha. What’s your holiday favorite from Starbucks?
2. All Things Positive
Do you ever just get wrapped up in all of the fun, positive quotes that you see on Pinterest or Instagram? I have found myself scrolling through a lot of those lately. While it isn’t just enough to read them because you need to actually apply what those quotes are talking about, it is so uplifting to see the difference when you start changing your mindset.
Our brains are hardwired to be negative sadly (our brain thinks this keeps us safe), but that doesn’t mean that we can’t work on our mindset and change it for the better.
3. Christmas Movies
Okay, this is all too soon, I know! I’m usually the person who wait for anything-Christmas until after Thanksgiving (except for Starbucks drinks!), but this year I’ve found myself wanting to watch more Christmas movies early.
I think I’m craving more of the happy, predictable movies! I’ve really been trying to stay away from any of the sad stuff. Sometimes movies or tv shows can make you feel just as depressed as their characters.
4. Election Day
Not getting political here, but just wanted to mention that I voted on Tuesday. I hope you did, too! 🙂
5. Brain Dump
How many of you do a brain dump now and then? I find them so helpful, especially this week! Sometimes we get so much swirling in our minds, it’s hard to focus.
By writing out all of the thoughts on paper, it’s like a release for your mind. Plus, you can start to think more clearly about each thought instead of just being overwhelmed by everything at once.
Let’s Chat!
It’s the first Friday of November. How are you spending it?
What are you biggest goals for the new year?
Do you plan on doing anything fun this weekend?

I heard about the reusable cups. I’ve had one for cold drinks from Tim Hortons for years now!

That’s awesome! I love Tim Horton’s! Their iced capps are so good
Really nice post.
It’s great that they have reusable cups in Strabucks! So many plastic in big companies!
Have a nice day,

Thanks so much, Mary!!
I also love motivation photos on Instagram and sometimes I went on profile and spent hours just reading quotes. That can really lift up and when we start to live according these quotes our life can change.
