It’s time to share what I’ve been interested in (all the things!) lately!
I’m excited to put together the second edition of this new series of monthly posts. I appreciate all of you who said you enjoyed the original post in January, so I’m bringing it back!
I hope your February is going well, my friends. I’m so suprised that it’s almost over! I’m not going to lie, this month has really gotten away from me. I have all the decluttering goals for this month and yet, I have barely touched any of those goals. It makes me sad! But I have stayed busy all month – just lots of other things going on that made it a little harder to get started on them. So I may be carrying them into March with me!
Anyhoo, grab your favorite beverage (I have my iced cappuccino from Tim Hortons) and let’s dive into this post together!
What I’ve Been Watching
I enjoy curling up in my chair in the evenings trying to find something good to watch before bed. I like a little bit of everything, whether it’s romance, comedy, action, documentaries, animated movies, news, etc.
Alex Murdaugh Case
I have followed this trial every single day. We are approaching a full month of testimony, it’s one of the longer cases! It’s also very complicated due to financial crimes coming in (though this particular trial is solely for the double-murder of Alex’s wife and son) and other crimes that have taken place.
It’s been very interesting, and I hope there is justice for Maggie and Paul. If you’re following along, do you believe Murdaugh will be found guilty or not guilty?
The Bachelor
I gave up on The Bachelor a long time ago, it just got to be too much and wasn’t the same anymore. However, I caved by starting this season a few weeks ago and I’m hooked!
I think Zach seems like a sweet guy and I hope his wife is in this crazy bunch, haha. SPOILERS* I was surprised when Chrstina went home. I’m not saying she was perfect and certainly was whiney when it comes to not getting her time with Zach, even though she had a ton of time overall! But there was just something about how it all went down, and it seemed like they had a good connection, even if she wasn’t the friendliest gal in the house.
What I’m Reading
For the most part, I read YA novels, rom/com, personal development books, or thrillers!
Without Merit by Colleen Hoover
You’re right, you saw this book on the last edition of All The Things. Oops! I started to have a bit of a reading slump again. Things have just been busy and I’m either out of the house with obligations, or I’m home, but trying to get house/blog work done. So this book fell to the way side. However, another one of Hoover’s books broke my reading slump! Keep reading below to see which one!
It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover
For those of you who’ve read this book, is it any surprise that this is the book that broke my mini-reading slump?
I loved this book! It was certainly a sad one, but I didn’t find the entire book to be depressing – which is great. I appreciated the author’s honesty in the back of the book about where she got her inspiration for the characters and the storyline. I loved one of the quotes in this book: “There is no such thing as bad people. We’re all just people who sometimes do bad things.”
There are most certainly plenty of bad things that happen in this book by a couple of characters and I felt all the emotions towards them, especially anger. It was tough to digest some of these things as it always reminds me that this is someone’s reality somewhere, but I hope they find Lily Bloom’s cycle-breaking ending very soon.
Daisy Jones & The Six
Okay, I haven’t started reading this one YET, but it’s at the library ready for me to pick up. They just called yesterday afternoon! I’m very excited to read this book, I’ve heard so many good things. Especially from my dear friend Carrie at Curly Crafty Mom. Let me know what you thought about it if you’ve read it, too!
What I’m Working On
I like to pick goals for the house, here on the blog, and just things in general that I can break down over time so they don’t feel as heavy or overwhelming.
Blog Traffic
I’m working very hard this year to make this blog all that it can be, as you’ve probably heard me write a time or two (or ten!). I think my biggest thing is finding a way to drive blog traffic and over to my socials as well. Truly, it’s not about numbers for the sake of numbers! I appreciate each and every one of you SO much, and I am humbled to have you here today. I am trying to make this enough for a full-time income, and that’s the only reason I’m focusing on numbers – that’s what brands and networks are looking for.
Decluttering Closets
You probably feel like you’re seeing double again, haha! This one has also been carried over from last month’s post. Ugh. I haven’t even touched my closets and it makes me sad. I had hoped to be quite far along by now – it’s almost the end of February! But nonetheless, I am going to work hard to make this a priority starting next week and put this into my March goals.
Erin Condren Spring Seasonal Surprise Box
As many of you know, I was super excited to get a blog collab with EC this month! Eeek! Still smiling over here about that, especially that it’s the SSB!
While I have to wait until others start receiving their boxes before I can share my video and blog post with you that lets you see all the beautiful goodies, I have been working on that behind the scenes! I like to have things done ahead of time, and that’s even more so when it comes to work for brands, so I’m putting the finishing touches on those.
The box can now be purchased! I would be absolutely honored if you would consider using my affiliate link to buy this beautiful box, if you decide you want to get it! 🙂
That’s all the things I have for you today, friends! I hope your week is going well, and I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to!
Carrie @ Curly Crafty Mom says
Ohh, you will LOVE Daisy Jones & The Six and then after you read it, you can watch the show!! March is my ‘spring closet cleaning’ month and I’m looking forward to cleaning my closet out, but not the teens closets. Ha, ha! I always try to really clean them out every spring and fall to keep them somewhat tidy and clear. That EC Spring box sounds so fun!

Yes, that’s right! It’s almost time for the show to air. I need to get to reading it ASAP! I love that, it looks like I’ll be joining you on that note in March since I definitely am not going to swing my closets this month, haha!
I can’t wait to see what you think of Daisy Jones & The Six! I have it on my reading list!
I’ll definitely let you know in my review, should be in the next couple of weeks! 🙂
So many great things happening my friend! Your consistency with your posting has been awesome so I know that the traffic is going up. I need to get going on my closets. Excited to see your EC video. Have a wonderful weekend my friend!

Aww, thank you TONS my dear friend, that means so much to me! 🙂 Hope you had the best weekend in paradise!!
I’ve been working on blog traffic too! It was doing really well then I had an unexpected drop maybe a year-year and a half ago and I’ve been trying to get it back.

I hope it kicks back up for you friend, I absolutely love your blog!
You’ll have to keep us updated on driving blog traffic! Blogging has changed so much over the years, and it’s always a learning experience. But, it’s also really cool that each number is a real person, ya know?!
Congratulations on your EC collab. Such a dream!
Will do, Kristen! I agree, the analytics are not my strong suit, so I’m trying to learn more but mostly, just make sure I’m putting out content that all of you enjoy! And YES, so fantastic to think of each number as a human checking my page! And thank you tons on the collab note!!
Congratulations on your collaboration. I love Daisy Jones and the six.
Annie,
Annies Food Diary
Thank you so much, Annie, and I’m so happy you loved the book! I can’t wait to start reading it!
I loved Daisy Jones & the Six! I’m looking forward to the movie of it. I would be surprised if Murdaugh isn’t found guilty. Especially after his testimony! 🥴
I’m so happy you loved that book, Kristina! The previews look awesome it! I completely agree with you, I don’t think his testimony did him any favors. I get why he went out on a limb, but honestly, I think the evidence is still stacked really high against him.
I’m looking to do a big spring clean soon. Haven’t heard of these shows before…been watching lots of movies
http://www.fashionradi.com
That sounds awesome, Radi! Hope you’ve been finding some great movies!
I really enjoyed Daisy Jones & the Six, I’ve liked all of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s books that I’ve read so far, and that one was a great one! 🙂
Good luck with your goals – and there is still a few days left in Feb so you might be able to make a start on the decluttering!
I’m so glad that you liked the book as well as her other books, too! I’ve heard she’s a great author! 🙂
Thank you tons, friend! I’m getting a start for sure, and hope to really work hard on those goals in the coming month.
I’m focusing on SEO and my blog traffic too. Daisy Jones and the Six is on my library list and I can’t wait to read it! I watched the Bachelor for years and then stopped. I’ll have to check out this season. Congrats on your Erin Condren collab!
Jill – Doused in Pink
I hope your blog traffic and SEO goes great, Jill! Always a fan of your blog!! I hope you’ll like the new season if you check it out, it’s really good so far! 🙂 And thank you tons on the collab note, I truly appreciate it!
I’ve also been working on my blog traffic, kindly update us on how it works out for you.
Bernie,

Aww, will do friend, I’ll definitely give an update – and I hope that your blog traffic goes great as well! 🙂
Loved Daisy Jones! I’m so excited that it’s going to be a series soon.

Aww, so happy you loved the book! Can’t wait to read it soon, and yes, the series looks great from the previews! 🙂
Ah yes I watched the series on Netflix though not the trial itself. That is one crazy story. Seriously what is up with people? Ugh I don’t get it. I am reading Grace Coddington’s book it is a great read. Oooo I am excited to see your box!
Allie of

I really don’t get it either Allie, it is so sad and absolutely unnecessary, literally all their tragedies. I haven’t seen the Netflix series yet, but want to watch it! Oh that sounds great, so happy you like her book! Thank you SO much friend, I’ll be sharing the box next week! 🙂
I feel you on the decluttering. I have watched many shows on organization in the past year, and they motivated me to really get it done this year. It’s something that I have been working on for the past few years. Definitely a process that take time. Thankfully I am making a lot of progress! What has helped is buying less and letting go of all the things I haven’t worn in the last year or more. I am selling, giving away, and donating. I wish you all the best with your decluttering!
Cheers,
Tania

Oh, that’s so awesome that you found those motivating shows! I need to watch some of those too, I always get the urge to clean when I watch those quick videos on IG! I’m so happy for you that you’re making so much progress, and I’m very much about letting go of what’s not serving me well and that makes room for what does! Thank you tons for the well wishes, I plan to get started next week on my decluttering mission! 🙂
Not surprised one bit that It Ends With Us pulled you out of your reading slump!! I read Daisy Jones last year and really liked it and I’m excited to watch the movie soon! I’m hoping that I waited long enough in between to not nitpick anything haha. Decluttering can wait until it’s warmer when you feel like you have energy!!
I didn’t think you would be! Now I have It Starts With Us at the library waiting for me to pick up. Eeek! I’m so glad to hear you liked Daisy Jones, and I’m really enjoying it so far even though I’m super early on in the book! Haha, I get that, it’s hard not to pick out what they did/didn’t include in movies or shows based on books. Thank you on the decluttering note! I’m SO ready for warmer weather. I plan to start next week on my decluttering journey so I can knock it out this month!
I try to increase the number of visitors to my blog by publishing organic content. I have a decent amount of traffic, yet Google Ads continue to give me trouble on occasion.
https://www.melodyjacob.com/
Aww, I’m so sorry Google Ads gives you fits at times! You have a fantastic blog and I will absolutely follow in your footsteps on the organic content!
Love this! I’m also working on blog traffic right now and looove meeting likeminded bloggers 🙂 It can be hard, but it’s very rewarding and fun to build a community.
Love,
Krissi of the marquise diamond

Aww, thank you tons Krissi! Wishing you all the best with your blog traffic mission too, and yes to likeminded bloggers! 🙂 It sure is on the community note, so blessed to have each and every one of you here!
I am also trying to work on my blog traffic. It was better earlier and my numbers have gone down too. Sometimes don’t have time to do everything. I also feel you on your wardrobe declutter. It takes hours of commitment hehehe. I love watching detective thrillers. Lovely post . 🙂
Via | https://glossnglitters.com
I can totally relate, Via! Wishing you all the best with your blog traffic, and yes, it takes a village to do all the things and sometimes, it’s just us in that whole village, haha! 🙂 Detective thrillers are so good, friend! Hope you have the best upcoming weekend!
I’ve heard such great things about Colleen Hoover books, I will need to add these to my list! I just had a friend tell me she just finished “it ends with us”. This is a lovely post!
Jill

I hope you’ll love her books! I’ve had great luck with the ones I’ve read so far, and you’ll definitely be seeing more of her books with my reviews soon. Thank you SO much, Jill, and hope you have a fantastic weekend! 🙂
Congratulations again on your collab. I’m working on blog traffic too this year, and I’m currently in the middle of my closet decluttering!
