It’s time for all the February things!
Wow, what a month February has been, friends! I’ve had some good, bad, and downright ugly things happen this month to be honest. I know that God is still in control and He can take care of all of it or at least help us get through it, so I know that’s the most important thing for me to remember.
I’m sharing that with you today just in case you need that reminder too!
I know it’s so much better to have these posts scheduled in advance, but here I am writing to you on this very same morning you’ll see it posted. We can just get through this one together! 🙂
Let’s dive into all the February things!
What I’ve Been Watching
I enjoy curling up in my chair in the evenings trying to find something good to watch before bed. I like a little bit of everything, whether it’s romance, comedy, true crime, action, documentaries, animated movies, news, etc.
Suits LA
You know I loved the original Suits show! I’ve been counting down until the day the LA version premiered for such a long time, and it’s so neat that it’s the original writers too. I also love the cast picks for the main Harvey-like character, Ted Black, which is Stephen Amell. Bryan Greenburg is a fun choice too for the character Rick, which I was thinking is more of a Mike-like character, but I’m not sure after watching just the first episode. We shall see! I loved that one of the female characters is dressed like Rachel, which was Meghan Markle’s character in the original show – I so wish we could get the Duchess back!
Just a heads up: Kyle warned me that this would be a heavy episode, and I truly didn’t think it would be, but it really is. I cried!
Reacher
Kyle and I literally just started watching this show on Amazon Prime last night and flew through three episodes! It focuses on Jack Reacher (yes, the same character that so many people have played in movies and tv shows!) who is a highly-decorated former major in the Army and has never lost a case in any of his investigations. He’s more a drifter nowadays. In the beginning of the show, Reacher finds himself in a new town and trouble finds him pretty quickly. I love these types of shows, and it’s one of the few things that Kyle also likes, so it’s fun to watch together.
Teen Mom: The Next Chapter Clips
We don’t have cable, so a lot of things I just see on YouTube or little clips on social media. I’ve watched these ladies grow up since the 16 and Pregnant days (did you?), it’s amazing that’s been sixteen years ago! I was seventeen when it premiered and I remember thinking how hard that would be to be raising a baby at that age. It’s been really neat to watch all the ladies and their sweet babies grow up and now be sixteen themselves!
I feel that Amber has the most difficult and sad storyline. She has always struggled with her mental health and has been an abusive partner in the past. Thankfully, Gary Shirley, her daughter’s father, is an amazing parent and has continually tried to allow Amber to be part of her daughter Leah’s life. He also has a sweet wife who has tried to be the best mother figure for Leah, and gets along with Amber as well. With the clips I’ve been seeing, it just looks like this is really weighing on Leah and she mentions going to therapy.
Random Judge Shows
I don’t typically write this down because it’s a given for me, haha! I watched Judge Judy and The People’s Court cases on the daily via YouTube, I just love those!
Latest Happenings
Some of the things that happened this month!
Fleet Feet Fun
Carrie from Curly Crafty Mom has been telling me about Fleet Feet for awhile since she goes there. She does half-marathons which is absolutely incredible!! Since I really want to do well in these two 5Ks this year, I knew I needed a good pair of running shoes. They fit you for the right shoes while you’re there and it was such a neat experience! Kyle did it with me and he already had the right pair of running shoes, so that was fun! I ended up buying this pair of Saucony shoes. They are beautiful and feel like a cloud for my feet, it was amazing to feel the difference. I did like some of the other shoe brands they had me try on, but this one was the clear winner every single time.
After we finished up there, we went over to a delicious hibachi place for a late lunch! Do you like hibachi? I tried scallops for the very first time and I liked them! I think I prefer shrimp overall, but I’m so glad I gave these a try!
Valentine’s Day
Kyle and I have been married almost ten years and we really don’t do a ton for V-day. I definitely love having any holiday to kind of make the day a little more peppy and an excuse to get a treat though, haha! So here are my goodies below! I think I’d love coffee over just about anything else on the planet as far as a gift goes, and he also got me this precious Red Tail stuffed animal. I’m one of those people who never grew out of loving stuffed animals, but also, red tail hawks are my favorite!
I feel they are such special birds and always seem to be watching over me when I look around and they’re hanging out on a power line or high up in a tree. It’s hard to explain, but I just love those birds and they’re beautiful!
I named my stuffed version Tails!
Candy Crush Solitaire
This seems so funny to include, but I was super excited about this last month when I found out Candy Crush was launching a Solitaire game. It has not disappointed! I preordered it and it gave a few boosters, but it’s a free app, so you can download it now if you want to try it! Kyle and I started it at the same time and as always, he’s more than a hundred levels ahead of me and it’s just not fair, haha!
What I’m Working On
I like to pick goals for the house, here on the blog, and just things in general that I can break down over time so they don’t feel as heavy or overwhelming.
February Challenge: Walk/Run One Mile Each Day
If you’re new here, I decided to pick a challenge for each month of this year! My main goal is to move my body more, so I think most of these will be exercise related in some sort, but not necessarily! I’m kind of choosing them along the way, and I’m still trying to nail down what I should pick for March. Yikes!
Anyhoo, back to February’s challenge, which is running or walking one mile each day. I just have today and I’ll be all finished! This challenge hasn’t been horrible for me. My thought process is that because I want to run two 5Ks this year, I really need to work my way up to being able to consistently run that far without being totally out of breath. I made it almost 45% through a 5K on the treadmill this week, but I was really pushing it and had to lay on the living room floor to recoup, haha!
Simple Goodness Sisters Collab
I’m super excited about this one, friends! You may remember that I did a blog post and a little iced coffee recipe in 2023 with the SGS, and now they are launching their very own book!
The Simple Goodness Sisters, Belinda and Venise, wrote Drink Your Garden to share their words of wisdom from running their very own farm in Washington as well as their soda shop. I fell in love with their story from the first time I was introduced to their brand and their syrups are incredible! You can tell that they are truly garden-to-glass fresh and so tasty. I was immediately impressed with the quality of the Drink Your Garden book. It’s a large, hardback cover book and would be beautiful sitting out on your coffee table!
I’m going to do a deeper dive into this book over the weekend and will be sharing more with you very soon! Their new book launches on March 25, 2025 and you can even preorder it over on Amazon!
Also, if you happen to live in or nearby Washington, be sure to check out one of their pop-up events to celebrate with them!
What I’m Excited About
There is almost always something magical to get excited about, no matter how ordinary it may seem at first!
Springtime!
I have never been and will never be a winter person or a snow person. I’m sorry to those of you who love it! I would happily send you all of the snow I’ve got this year already if I could, haha! So just seeing some warmer temperatures here in southern Ohio, it feels life changing right now! I also am loving all of the pretty decor and am trying to find a cute spring wreath for the front door. Do you buy new stuff each spring or reuse what you already have?
Daredevil: Born Again Disney+ Show
The Punisher is actually my favorite Marvel series ever, but he was also in the Daredevil show that aired on Netflix and it was fantastic! Just like Suits LA, I have been waiting a long time for this show to come on. It comes on March 4th and I’m so happy The Punisher is also going to be in this one, as well as so many of the original actors. Yay!
HanCanPlan Stickers
I mentioned these fun stickers in my LifePlanner blog post not too long ago, and I finally got them in the mail (post office issues, no fault to Hannah at all!). They’re amazing! I actually filmed a YouTube video for it last week and plan to get that out to you over the weekend or Monday at the latest! It stinks that I got February stickers and really only got to use them the last week of the month and also getting this video up just before March starts.
I think it’ll still be super fun for you to watch if you’re interested in adding her stickers to your planner or just want some planner inspiration! And for me, it helped me to know if I’d like to order more in the future and the answer is definitely yes!
That’s a wrap on February’s all the things, sweet friends! I hope you enjoyed this quick little post. How was your February?
Wishing you the very best Friday and upcoming weekend!!
All that food looks good. I want those stickers. Have a lovely weekend friend.

Thank you Regine, I appreciate you and hope you had a fantastic weekend too! The stickers are so fun, I’m already looking at my next order, haha!
Those stickers are adorable and I am tempted to get some from her eventually. Your stuffed animal is so cute! Autumn is really into these jellycat stuffed animals lately, have you heard of them? OH, those scallops just look SO good as do the noodles and how can you say you like shrimp better?! Ha, ha! I am excited to hear how your first 5K goes!

I bet you would love these stickers if you gave them a try! They really elevate a planner spread and it just makes me happy when I glance at it. I haven’t heard of the jellycat stuffies, I will have to look those up! Haha, I know I’m the oddball on thinking shrimp is better but also, just the first time trying them, so someplace else could change my mind! Thanks friend!!
You have been living life to the fullest pretty lady! I love stuffed animals too, and I’m so happy you’re Mr. got you a red tail hawk! It is just the cutest! I am sticker crazy so I think I’m going to need those. I hope you have the sweetest first weekend of March!
