I am so thankful to see Friday! It has been a trying week, mostly mentally, but I made it this far. 🙂 I hope you’ve had a smooth week, friends.
1. Getting Beyond Anxious Thoughts
As I mentioned in in the beginning of this post, it has been a difficult week. We all have those at one time or another. I’m trying to relish in small victories this week and by just making it to Friday, it’s a success! Sometimes we don’t realize how much we accomplish in a week. Sometimes, just making it through until Friday is an accomplishment in itself. That’s me this week and I’m trying to give myself credit for toughing it out.
2. Blog Posts on Anxiety – Supported by Bible Scriptures
How did I not realize these existed? I decided to look up some how to deal with anxiety on Pinterest and found lots of resources. The ones that spoke the most to me were ones that included scriptures and reminded me to focus on God, rather on the outcome of whatever situation I’m facing. I’ve worked really hard on this over the week, and while I’ve still got a long way to go, I believed it has helped tremendously.
Here are a couple of my favorites. I am regretting not saving all of the posts that helped me.
3. Nature
Have you ever noticed yourself feeling more relaxed once you’ve went outside? I’m sure this depends on the person. I’ve really tried to take it all of the fresh air, beauty of the trees, and the gorgeous sunshine this week. It has really helped me feel a lot better!
4. Healthy Habits
If you read last week’s Friday Favorites, you might remember that I mentioned my husband and I were trying to start eating better. We are still at it this week, and while I’ve had a couple of orders from local restaurants, I still feel I’ve done well overall. I’m actually feeling a lot better without the fast food that I used to eat almost daily, and I’ve strongly cut back my caffeine intake.
For those of you that light to use flavored packets in your water, have you tried the Crystal Light Raspberry Lemonade? It’s amazing!
I want to throw another shoutout to The Backwards Life this week! If you’re looking for a healthier lifestyle and a positive message, then you will love her Instagram! Her pretty plates remind me that it is possible to eat well and still eat yummy foods!
5. Netflix & Jammies
A little twist on the Netflix & Chill craze. 😉 This hasn’t happened yet, but I’m hoping to take some time on Saturday for self-care. I am ready to just relax, not stress about anything in particular, and just watch something on Netflix! Do you have any suggestions? I’d love to hear what you’re watching!

Thanks so much for checking out the post! 🙂
I totally agree. Spending time outside naturally relaxes us. I love to sit out on the deck and read. Paul and I just finished the new season of The Sinner on Netflix and if you like comedies, Working Moms is good.
I’ll have to check both of those out, Julie! I haven’t seen any previews for Working Moms, but I have saw The Sinner previews and thought it might be something I’d like. I’ll check it out! 🙂
I hope evrything gets easier this week! I do love scripture to get past bad moments, and I seriously cannot think of anything better. God loves you deeply and is with you through this. On my lowest moments I like to read Job and the Psalms.
Answering the Netflix question: I like to watch documentaries when I’m feeling down. Chef talks, Fake or Fortune, historical ones… Just something that cannot remind me of my situation and is still interesting.
I will have you in my prayers
Thank you so very much, Natalia! That means so much, I truly appreciate your prayers and kind words.
