I hope that May is treating you well so far, friends!
It is so hard to believe that we are this far in the year already, but this makes it a great time to get zoned into all the things that we want to make happen. It can be so easy to lose track of time and progress in our day-to-day lives.
Today I’m sharing a few ways that you can incorporate your goals into your daily life so that you’ll put your best foot forward and have the best chance of being successful!
Make a Plan
While it’s not impossible to accomplish your goals when you’re willy nilly with the details, you are making it a whole harder on yourself than it needs to be. Take it from someone who has those phases from time to time! As much as I adore my planners and like to tick off those to-do’s, it still happens. The most important thing is to make sure you take a little slice of time just to devote to goal planning.
It can be really helpful to write out all of the things needed to ultimately reach your goal, which will give you a list of what I call “mini goals” to work with.
Incorporate into Daily Routine
Once you have a plan in place for your goals, work on incorporating them into your schedule. Take note of those mini goals and grab your planner, calendar or even a notebook – just something that you can use to see the days of the month that you’re comfortable with.
Incorporating goals into your life should be similar to how you incorporate other important events, such as doctor appointments, meetings, or lunch with a friend. You have a date, place and time for those types of events. If you schedule a date and time for your sole focus and energy to be used on a particular goal, you are more likely to make progress towards achieving it.
A good set of habits or routines makes a huge difference for bringing your goals to life!
Track Your Results
I love habit trackers for this purpose because you can jot down mini goals that will help you reach your ultimate goal, and then you can add a check mark to each day that you knocked out those mini goals! It helps you stay focused, which means you’re more likely to want to check that off your list and move onto other things on your to-do list.
Reflection goes such a long way and will help you see more clearly what is working, what needs adjusted or even tossed altogether, and how to best move forward.
That’s a wrap on incorporating goals into your daily life, sweet friends! How are your goals going so far this year? I hope you enjoyed this post and can’t wait to hear your thoughts in the comments!

I’m always down for a good goal-planning sesh! And then I’ll break it up into smaller chunks and schedule those out in my to-do list. (The Capricorn in me looooooves a list- and checking things off it!)
Hope you’re having a lovely Friday!

Oh, I love that Ashley!! I’m a Cancer, but can absolutely relate! My Friday is going so well, and I hope yours is too! Hope you have a fantastic weekend! 🙂
I think what I don’t do enough of is track my results. Sometimes I’ll go through what I accomplished at the end of the month and it’ll seem like a lot more than I thought, but I think weekly checkins would probably help me more.

I am still in the beginning phase of my blog, so this post is perfect for me! Right now I am focusing more on the smaller goals. Thank you for the tips!
Hi, Emily!! Congratulations on starting your own blog, I can’t wait to check it out! 🙂 Starting on smaller goals is such a great way to stay focused and it helps with not getting overwhelmed. Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Oh my gosh sometimes I feel overwhelmed with everything I have to do. I feel like there are not enough days in the week or hours on the day. I got up at 6 am this morning and have been going not stop and still did not get everything done that I wanted to do. LOVE the idea of tracking ones results. I need to do this.

I can absolutely relate to the overwhelm, Allie, it is just hard not to feel that way sometimes when you’re juggling all the things! I hope you can get some rest tonight, my dear friend!! Just remember to give yourself grace through it all, you are doing amazing! 🙂
It’s crazy how quickly the year is flying by but it’s also the perfect time to buckle down and focus on our goals. I love the idea of treating our goals like important appointments and scheduling dedicated time for them. And I can vouch on the habit tracker method because it’s definitely great for staying on track! Thanks for the awesome tips! xx

Aww, thank you for reading, Julia – I appreciate you!! So happy you enjoyed this post!!
I have so many different things I am balancing I think I would go crazy without a list and a plan! Goals really help me to stay motivated!
I love that, Laura, and can absolutely relate that my planner keeps me sane and I don’t have nearly as much to juggle as you do!!
Yes to all of these! So many great tips! It really is important to follow up, too, like you said. That helps tremendously with knowing your strengths and seeing what you need to work on!
Thank you so much, Lindsay, I appreciate it tons!! I think following up is one of the biggest keys, it’s so easy to lose track of progress otherwise!
