I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 2022!
Some days I literally feel that old, but I’m sure many of you got that Taylor Swift reference, haha.
I have likely touched on the topic before on here, but I don’t usually make New Year’s Resolutions. Instead, I make a list of goals for the year that I hope to accomplish. Arguably, that’s sort of the same thing.
For me, it’s more of a mindset reason behind setting goals versus resolutions. I have set resolutions in the past that were too large, with no plan to accomplish them and I was left feeling defeated. When I set goals, my mindset is just completely different and looks forward to doing those things. I give myself grace through the things that I don’t get to or if something falls flat, as long as I’ve put in true effort.
Honestly, it truly is all about what you like to set best and what gets you excited to accomplish the things you’ve set out to do. It doesn’t matter what you call them, it only matters that you’re putting in the effort to make those things happen. 🙂
Here are some of my goals for 2022:
Personal Goals
- Mindset work daily to help combat anxiety
- Seek out work that is truly fulfilling + I’m passionate about
- Continue to set healthy boundaries with things/people who drain my energy
- Make myself and my goals a priority
- Exercise at least 3 times per week
House Goals
- Stain our front porch
- Find a pretty wreath for our front door to hang until the holidays begin
- Create a better house-cleaning routine
- Clean out our garage
- Get rid of/donate things I don’t need
- Finally clean out and organize spare closet (everything goes there to die in this house, haha!)
Blog Goals
- Grow the Make Life Marvelous community
- Share more lifestyle content with you!
- Start up my email list + consistently send out emails (it’s been a struggle for me)
- Set a schedule to work on this blog and plan out content in advance (I found Airtable a couple of weeks ago and I’m loving it so far!)
- Get into the habit of showing up on IG Stories more often
Thanks so much for checking out my goals for 2022. Let me know if you have any questions or if there’s something you’d like to see on the blog this year. I’d love to hear from you!
Wishing you all the brightest week!

Aww, thank you so much Kathrine! 🙂 I definitely have to take a look on Amazon and see if I can find one soon. I haven’t even started looking yet, haha. I still LOVE your word for the year, and I think that sounds perfect. You have all my prayers and luck sending over to you, friend, it’s going to be a beautiful year for you. Especially with your recital coming up!
Great post and inspiration. I am ready for a new refreshing year in 2022. Mental mindset is so important.

Thank you bunches, Jennifer! I totally understand that. I have no doubt you’re going to make this an amazing year, my friend! 🙂
Exercises are important, nice goals ❤
Yes, they are, and I really want to make them a priority this year. Thank you tons, Kinga! 🙂 Hope your new year is off to a fantastic start!
I like your house / home goals. I had laid out some goals prior to the launch of 2022, but have found myself completely overwhelmed by my list. So now I’m easing back and reassessing with a more manageable one so I can take it on piece by piece. I have to keep reminding myself that as long as I don’t stop and just show up, I haven’t failed! lol!
Thank you, Gingi! 🙂 That is such an amazing choice to step back and make things more manageable. The last thing you want is to feel overwhelmed, and I have no doubt that you will continue to check off those things that you want to accomplish this year – one step at a time!
Goals + intentions vs. resolutions are the way to go, I agree! I love your list- you are going to have a productive 2022!

Aww, so happy you loved it Ashley! 🙂 Hope you have an amazing new year and that it’s off to a great start for you so far!
Awesome resolutions and plans for 2022. I have similar blog goals. But being consistent with them all is a true struggle with life happening!
Thank you SO much, Crystal! I can completely relate. I found myself is a horrible cycle this past year with that, and trying to keep things on track. I’m really taking things slower to start off this year, and have my big goals broken down into super tiny goals, haha, and it seems to be really helping. And batching similar items together, so I’m getting more done that way.
I’ve been working more on my email list/newsletter and for right now I’m just sending out an email with my post in it each time I post. I will also add at the bottom the last 3 posts with images and links. It is something!! I started that this year. It does take a little work, but I use Mailchimp and it is free.

That’s awesome, friend! I don’t know why I’m not already signed up to your email list, so I will go and do that in just a second. 🙂 I think that’s great! I’ve struggled with it so much. I finally felt like I was getting it together early last year and it just all went dunzo, haha, but I REALLY want it to work this year. I’m so happy you’ve got a kick start on yours and I agree, it takes a lot of work to get the aesthetic you really want and to figure out exactly what you want to share in the emails. I’ve never used Mailchimp before, but I’ve heard great things. I use Mailerlite.
Some wonderful goals. Mailing list is definitely one of mine this year also. Best of luck achieving them, I know you will kill this year!
