More than ever, something on our to-do list daily should be to spread kindness!
Have you ever felt like everything was going wrong, but then someone stopped to compliment you?
We all get discouraged from time to time, and just need a little relief. We may not even share the things that keep us up at night, or trouble us off and on throughout the day.
That’s why I’m sharing with you today some of my favorite quick and easy ways to spread kindness!
These don’t take a lot of time or money, but will absolutely make a difference in someone’s day.
Encouragement Cards
I’m not sure if you’ve seen these little cards before, but I’ve been using them for awhile now from Bloom Daily Planners (not sponsored, just absolutely love these!). They have cute, motivating or encouraging quotes on the front and they’re blank on the back so you can write anything you’d like.
I’ve used this space to include a bible verse in the past, that felt as though it really pertained to that person’s situation. I’ve also written short, but inspiring, messages on them.
Thinking of You Gifts
This is one of my favorite ways to spread kindness to my neighbors!
First, I grab a ‘thinking of you’ card (I always recommend keeping these on hand – you never know when you may need/want one!). Then, I go to the store and buy a bag of candy to pair with it.
I always write something personal inside the card, and I underline certain prewritten words that I want to emphasize. I like to put a little bow or ribbon around the card and candy and then place it in their mailbox prior to the mail carrier running.
Make a Meal or Bake Some Goodies
I especially like to put together a meal or bake a sweet treat for those that I know haven’t been feeling well or just haven’t had time to have a good, homemade meal.
But truly, you don’t need a reason like this to go out of your way for someone else – it’s really all about making their day, even if life has been treating them amazing lately.
Say How You Feel
As long as it’s nice! 🙂
How many times have you thought about how you appreciated someone so much or you thought about how pretty they look that day, but then didn’t actually say it aloud? Tell them!
It would mean so much to them if we shared more of those things. We don’t know what anyone truly goes through each day. Much of it, they likely don’t even share.
It could be something that brightens their day and sticks with them for a long time!
There are of course TONS more ways that you can spread kindness to others!
- Do you have a favorite way to do something nice for others?
- Have you had someone do something out of the way for you that meant so much?
Let me know in the comments!
Have an amazing day, friends!

Yes to spreading kindness! I need to get some of these encouragement cards. I love to sometimes create art on a card to make it special – like a collage or watercolors.
